Maxpedition E.D.C. Pocket Organizer

The Maxpedition E.D.C. Pocket Organizer is one of the best ways to organize everyday carry gear. It is a very versatile and tough piece of equipment that will probably last you a lifetime.

Tough as Nails:

The Maxpedition E.D.C. Pocket Organizer is made of 1050-denier lightweight ballistic nylon. Just in case you are unfamiliar with 1050-Denier ballistic nylon, let me tell you this: it was originally designed as a ballistic material during WWII to protect Airmen from fragmenting bullet and artillery shell impacts. This stuff is as tough as lightweight armor because that is what it was designed for.

Outside the Pocket Organizer:

The outside has dual YKK high strength zippers and zipper tracks with 550 Paracord pulls attached. The zippers open the organizer like a clamshell so that it lays flat, revealing the main compartment.

The front of the organizer has a mesh slip pocket secured by Velcro. Above that is a loop field for attaching patches.

On the back is an oversized cross stitched (Box-and-X stitched) pull handle. There are also two rows of molle compatible, high tensile strength nylon PALS webbing to secure it to a larger pack.

Inside the Organizer:

When you open the Maxpedition E.D.C. Pocket Organizer you will notice that the internal seams are all taped and finished. That is a nice touch.

On the left there is an elastic organizer with 9 divisions. Behind them is a large slip sleeve and a key keeper.

You can carry a lot of gear in the Maxpedition EDC Pocket Organizer

The right side is much like the left but with slightly larger elastic bands: this time the elastic organizer has 6 divisions. Again there is a large slip sleeve in the rear. There is also a tie-down loop at the top on this side.

Carrying the E.D.C. Pocket Organizer:

Carrying this pocket organizer is as easy as slipping it inside the cargo pocket of your tactical pants or on your pants belt through the PALS webbing. It can also be used with your larger get home bag either in a pocket, (e.g. it fits well inside the front pocket of the Maxpedition Jumbo Versipack) or attached on the outside with the PALS webbing.

Additional Details:

  • Compact 5” x 7” x 0.75” size (actual measurements – 5 7/8″ x 7 7/8″ x 7/8″)
  • Attach to another bag via the PALS webbing by using two 3″ TacTie™ Attachment Straps
  • The ballistic nylon fabric is coated with Dupont Teflon® fabric protector for superior grime resistance.
  • The fabric is also triple coated with Polyurethane for water resistance.
  • The fabric is made with high tensile strength composite nylon thread which is much stronger than ordinary nylon thread.
  • All of the stress points are either double stitched, Bartacked or “Box-and-X” stitched for added strength.

Conclusion:

Overall, the Maxpedition E.D.C. Pocket Organizer is an outstanding product that works very well as a core EDC kit. It also works perfectly for what it was designed for; as an organizer of your smaller EDC gear. It is lightweight, versatile, as durable as a tank, and has the ability to contain just about everything you will need to carry during the day. No matter how you choose to use it, you will most likely come to value the Maxpedition E.D.C. Pocket Organizer very highly.
